ADULT ACTIVITIES

MINNESOTA STARWATCH Ages 6-Adult

Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies over Hutchinson. This night will be
filled with stars, constellations, planets, star clusters, nebulae and more! We start with an indoor orientation followed by
quality time outside. Get to know the constellations like ‘The Big Bear, Orion the Hunter, Gemini the Twins and their
great stories behind them. We’ll use large reflecting telescopes for close up views of planets, the moon, stars clusters,
nebulae, galaxies and other wonders in our winter skies. Learn about basic celestial photography. Weather permitting,
we’ll use a new astronomical camera-telescope system for extra special views of our more distant universe. If it’s
cloudy, you’ll learn a lot and receive a package of user-friendly star maps, constellation charts, apps, websites and tele-
scope buying guide.
