YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Travel Basketball Grades 5-8

The Hutchinson Youth Basketball Association (HYBA)
provides basketball instruction, games, and training in
sportsmanship for boys and girls grades 5 through 8. HY-
BA offers a "Travel" program that is in addition to the Mid-
dle School programs. Teams in this program are ex-
posed to a more competitive level of play. The HYBA
Program runs through early March and consists of week-
day practices and weekend tournaments. The travel pro-
grams will participate in seven weekend tournaments.
Player evaluations will take place October 23-27. More
information for HYBA Travel teams in 5th through 8th
grade will be available on the HYBA website -
www.hutchinsonyba.com . Program will begin November
4 or as Middle School schedule dictates. If interested in
coaching, please indicate when registering.

This program is a great way to introduce your child to the
game of basketball. Children will be taught some basic
skills and play modified games that accommodate their
age level.

This program will meet twice each week. Teams will be
divided evenly and play a regular schedule of games IN THE RECREATION CENTER BETWEEN
while focusing on skill development. HYBA Travel is for THE HOURS OF 9:00AM AND 4:00PM MON-
participants wishing to continue with practices and play in DAY THROUGH FRIDAY
a couple weekend tournaments in January and February.
