Rules and policies are in place to enhance safety, reduce the risk of injury and maximize the life guards ability to scan the pool while limiting distractions and potential hazards. Thank you for your cooperation.
General Rules:
- All patrons must be able to swim or be supervised by an adult
- Lifeguards must be present before patrons may enter the pool
- No diving except off diving boards
- No running
- No animals are allowed within the facility
Lifejackets:
- Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotations devices may be used
- Lifejackets are not permitted on the water slides or zip line
- A child wearing a lifejacket must be within arms reach of an adult at all times
Swim Diapers:
- Children 3 years of age and younger must wear swim diapers
- Regular diapers are not allowed
Swim Attire:
- All adults and children that are swimming must wear appropriate swim attire
- Street clothes are not permitted to be worn in the pool
- Swimsuits with built-in flotation for younger children are not allowed unless Coast Guard approved
Toys & Goggles:
- No inflatable devices or toys are allowed
- Toys such as water sprayers and balls are not permitted
- No snorkels
Food & Beverages:
- Coolers, glass containers, alcohol and tobacco are not allowed in the facility
- Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the facility
The Hutchinson Aquatic Center will clear the pool and/or close if:
- The current temperature is 62 degrees or colder
- It is raining hard enough so that it is difficult to see the bottom of the pool
- There is thunder or lighting
- There is a tornado warning
The Hutchinson Aquatic Center does not offer cash refunds for weather-related closures. If the pool is cleared for more than one hour due to inclement weather, guests who purchased daily admission less than one hour before the pool was initially cleared and can produce a receipt will receive a daily admission voucher to return on another day. Daily admission holders who have been at the Aquatic Center more than one hour before the pool is closed will not be given daily admission to return. Guests must remain at the facility in order to receive daily admissions credits.
Policy on Filming Children at the Aquatic Center No person shall intentionally take a photograph or otherwise record a child without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian. Any person who intentionally takes the photograph or otherwise records a child without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian will be asked to leave the Aquatic Center. A person who violates this policy will have their season pass and/or daily pass revoked. A person who has been found in violation of this policy may appeal that determination to the Aquatic Center Manager.
Photo or Video Content Policy
- Video and photo cannot be taken in the locker rooms
- No wearable video equipment or cameras are allowed in the facility or pool attractions
